We are dedicated to building Takatāpui and Rainbow communities in Aotearoa New Zealand free of all forms of violence.
We offer free, confidential, mana-enhancing support and recovery services for Takatāpui and Rainbow survivors of sexual harm. This includes fully funded therapeutic support for survivors, partners and whānau, where our identities are treated as the taonga they are, and sexual harm is understood within our community contexts.
“Having easy access to a service that is obviously queer-friendly.”
Survey respondent, 2015

We run a variety of free community programmes, including Club Kahukura, Waiata Friday and the Rainbow Wellbeing Network, as well as resources to support parents and caregivers of Takatāpui and Rainbow children and young people, and older Takatāpui and Rainbow people.
“This was a privilege. I’ll be using a number of resources in the slides for my own life. Thank you for creating this possibility and for all the work that has gone into this.”
Ageing with Pride community reviewer, 2025
We want Takatāpui and Rainbow folks to be safe and welcome every time they access any kind of support.
That’s why we offer training and supervision for all those working with Takatāpui and Rainbow people, of all ages. Our training is useful for kaimahi working in specialist services, but also policy makers, service managers and everyone interested in understanding more about how family violence, sexual violence and elder abuse impact us, and what changes can be made to improve the service we receive.
“It has been hands down one of the most informative, yet disturbing (info and stats) and mind opening workshops I have been to.”
Family violence agency kaimahi, 2020
